WE PRODUCE AND SELL RENEWABLE CARBON

Aeonian’s biocarbon can be used as bioenergy, as a component in the metal industry, and as soil amendment creating a carbon sink.

BIO ENERGY

Using dried wood as fuel accounts to circa one-tenth of all energy production. Renewable carbon for fuel (aka bio-coal) has up to 25% higher energy value than dried wood, and it is, therefore, more efficient for creating power and heat.

METAL

The metal industry is on a journey to reduce carbon emissions by replacing fossil coal with hydrogen, however, carbon is always required in the metal industry processes. Iron plus carbon equal steel.

CARBON SINKS

Renewable carbon (in this case called biochar) is mixed with soil enabling the storage of water and nutrients increasing the production from the soil. Biochar captures carbon in the air and stores it for centuries. Biochar can also be mixed into building materials such as asphalt, concrete, polymers, etc., making them more sustainable.

Current technologies allow for very effective manufacturing of high-grade renewable carbon, albeit the production volumes are small-scale. Each factory produces 500 to 50,000 tons per year. The global demand for renewable carbon exceeds billions of tons per year – now!

Aeonian aims to scale up renewable carbon production with large-scale factory solutions. Aeonian’s utility patents allow for more than 500,000 tons per year of production, relative to the largest white pellet production facilities.
