We discovered early on that the renewable carbon industry's challenge will be to scale up production to meet the large and growing demand. We spent the last four years successfully evaluating manufacturing and emissions compliance technologies that can scale to meet the demand of large and diverse markets.
The Journey So Far
2019
AEONIAN IS FOUNDED
When visiting First Nations on the Canadian west coast we saw the huge waste streams from the forestry industry. The waste wood lay up to one meter thick on the forest floor. When decomposing it emits greenhouse gases, stokes new growth, hinders wild animals roaming, and creates fuel for wildfires. How could we best transform this waste stream to a useful and environmentally friendly product?
2020
PATENT APPLICATION
We continued to search for solutions to the waste challenge and found a well-tested and proven technology that had the possibility to reach an industrial scale. We filed our first patent application.
2021
VERIFICATION AND APPROVAL
We spent 2021 verifying our technology and performing several feasibility studies. Our first patent was approved by the US Patent Office. We continued to reach out to partners and customers to build an industry network.
2022
PREPARING THE SCALE-UP
Our second patent was approved, which means we cover the whole production process. The patents are rolled out internationally. We build a platform and strategy for scaling up and designing the first factories. We are in close interaction with partners and representatives for factory locations.
